Dr Hassan Galadari
An American board-certified graduate of the Boston University/Tufts University dermatology program in the USA, Dr. Galadari completed a dermatologic surgery and laser fellowship in the University of California-San Francisco. He currently works as Professor of Dermatology in the UAE University. He also retains licensure by the medical board of California. His major area of expertise is soft tissue augmentation, having written numerous book chapters and articles on them, in addition to lecturing and running workshops internationally.

Prof Ncoza Dlova
Professor Ncoza Dlova is Dean and Head of School of Clinical Medicine. She is a local and internationally renowned dermatologist. Her research has gained her international recognition as evidenced by the number of committees, editorial boards, and invitations she receives annually to national and international dermatology meetings. She has excelled in all aspects of her career; research, outreach programmes as well as teaching and administrative roles. She is intuitive and a natural leader, an inclusive visionary, and someone who leads by example.

Professor Claudia Gray

Professor Claudia Gray is a paediatrician with subspecialist accreditation in allergology and subspecialty training in paediatric pharmacology. She undertook her medical degree at the University of Cape Town, specialised in in London, and subsequently returned to South African soil to work in the field of allergology. She has now been a qualified subspecialist paediatric allergist for 15 years. Claudia is part time consultant at the Allergy and Asthma clinic at Red Cross Children’s Hospital, and an Associate Professor in Paediatrics at the University of Cape Town. She oversees clinics, teaches registrars, sets examinations, and holds regular teaching seminars to general practitioners, paediatricians and allergists. Her research interests are in allergy pharmacology, and in food allergies in eczema patients, on which she based her PhD. She also runs a busy private practice in Cape Town, tending to all forms of allergies and providing comprehensive, cutting-edge management strategies.

Teaching, Management and Publications
Claudia thoroughly enjoys teaching and presents regularly at local and international conferences. She has over 100 publications in local as well as international high-impact international journals. She is on the editorial team of the journal “Current Allergy and Clinical Immunology” and co-editor/coauthor of the 2017 and 2023 South African Allergy Handbook and has written the book “Food Allergies in a Nutshell.” Claudia is a regular examiner at the postgraduate Diploma in Allergy and Allergy Fellowship exams and is Honorary Secretary of the Allergy Society of South Africa. She is also the author of several children’s books and has a passion for educating/enlightening the young.

Professor Diamant Thaci graduated in 1989 with a medical degree and specialized in dermatology and venereology in 1995 at the department of Dermatology and Venereology at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Prof Thaci has held the roles of Senior Consulting Specialist in Dermatology, Director of Clinical Research, Head of Photodermatology division from 1977 – 2011. In 2011 he was appointed as Associate Professor of Dermatology, Venerology and Allergology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. Since 2013 he is a director and full University Professor at the Institute and Comprehensive Center Inflammation Medicine University of Lübeck, Germany. He is Chairman of the inflammatory board at the university hospital Schleswig-Holstein campus, Lübeck. Professor Thaci’s research experience covers immunological work in basic research as well as aal stages of clinical drug development especially in chronic inflammatory skin diseases like psoriasis, allergic dermatitis, etc. In addition to his clinical commitments, Professor Thaci also lectures in dermatology, cross section immunology/ microbiology and publishes numerous articles in high reputation journals.

Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa

Professor Carol Hlela heads the Paediatric Dermatology Unit, at Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa with a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Clinical Medicine and a Masters in Global Health Science (MSc GHS) both obtained from the University of Oxford, UK. She sat her Paediatric Dermatology Fellowship at Northwestern University/Lurie’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago.

Additional qualifications include a Master's in Medicine in Dermatology (MMed Derm) as well as a Fellowship from the College of Dermatologists (FCDerm) from the University of KwaZulu Natal and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).

Prof Hlela is a National Research Foundation (NRF) rated researcher, currently C2 rated, and is internationally recognized, being an International Eczema Council (IEC) Associate and a member of the Board and an Africa representative in the International Retrovirology Association (IRVA) representing research on HTLV-1 (human T cell lymphotropic virus type 1) in the continent. She is widely published, has secured several grants and awards, participating in international collaborations and drug trials.

Last, but not least, Professor Hlela sits in several Advisory Boards of Pharmaceutical companies.

Dr Pablo Fernández González
Pablo Fernández González, MD is currently Scientfic Advisor at Cantabria Labs, he also combines his activity in the lab with a part-time consultation in Dermatology where he attends patients with different skin conditions.

He is a certified medical doctor with a specialization in Dermatology. During his Dermatology specialization he has fulfilled different national and international courses about multiple dermatology topics such as tropical and infectious skin diseases, autoimmune skin diseases, dermatology laser and surgery, among others. He is author of numerous international publications, especially in trichology area. His most highlighted areas of expertise are tropical and infectious skin diseases, immune-mediated skin diseases, trichology, and skin cancer.
